Pale Blue Films began shooting today at Klavon's Ice Cream Parlor in Pittsburgh's Strip District, capturing Klavon's unique history which began in 1923 and it's distinct array of delicious sundaes and candy bar.   We also interviewed Jacob Hanchar, proprietor since 2013, about what it's like to operate the historical ice cream parlor.

In addition, we discussed the upcoming event on July 16, 2017, National Ice Cream Day.  Klavon's is hosting the first ever Klavon's Golden Cone National Small Ice Cream Store Competition, featuring new flavor entrees from all over the country.  The judges are leaders in the ice cream industry, including well-known entrepreneurs Natasha Case from CoolHaus, Cris Freeman from Phin & Phebes, and Jennie Dundas from Blue Marble.

Come by Klavon's where the outdoor festival begins at 1pm on Sunday, July 16th, 2017.  For more information visit: http://www.klavonsicecream.com/sweet-announcements/
